Tiger’s summer camp in Tamwood
This is my second time I went to Tamwood. There is one good thing about this summer camp in UCLA, and it turns out to be the fact that I’m good at making friends.
During this summer camp, I have made so many good friends because we are all outgoing and friendly. They are all from different countries, including one friend from Russia, one from Mexico, four friends from different parts of China, not to mention my British and Canadian counsellors, one of them I even met at last summer camp.
My group is called Gators. There are six kids in our group. We are all very kind, happy and friendly to each other. Our counsellor’s name is Olivia, she has big eyes, and is very happy and had a kind and smily face. She is so helpful to us.
We went to visit a lot of different places, including Disneyland, Universal Studios Park and Knotts Berry Farm, also Hollywood, Aerospace Center and LA Science Museum.
I enjoyed these visits very much. We also organized our own parties. I even sang one of my favorite songs for my friends, which is Green Day's "Wake me up when September Ends".
I was very happy when I saw everybody enjoying the song.
I did some interesting projects, which were really fun and exciting. For example, I made a robot, and I organized a model show of Star Wars. One of the most exciting projects was for me and my friends to make a movie together!
I was the one who made the storyline for the movie.
The name of that movie is "Star Wars vs. Marvels"! They are both my favorite movies. With Olivia’s help, we put on different clothes and makeup, played different kinds of roles, put all sorts of plots together, and finally we made it.
The movie is about the Marvels' heroes fight with StarWars, and in the end the Star Wars roles win; and I played the role of Star Wars, so that means I win. I am so excited to have made it as my very first movie in my life.
I shared it with my mom, my friends, and my teacher. Hopefully they like it. I still feel happy when I think about it. Without the support from Olivia and my friends, it would be a "mission impossible".
I like Tamwood so much that I want to come back next summer. I LOVE YOU TAM-WOOD.
